Have you been promoting your brand without registering a Trademark?
Don’t let your marketing efforts go to waste.
The EUIPO has renewed and expanded its successful subsidy program aiming at assisting EU Companies to protect their Intellectual Property Rights, recognizing the importance for businesses to protect their IP in the digital era.
The program is now open for applications and SMEs may be granted vouchers of up to €1500 to partly cover the cost of registering their Trademarks (logos, names or other unique business identifiers). This subsidy is available for TM registration both in Cyprus, at EU level and even Internationally.
Following a successful application, Companies will be able to apply for Trademark registration at either National, EU or even International level (through the WIPO system).
Successful applicants will receive a refund of part of the Trademark registration filing fee, the refund being paid directly to the applicant.
A fund of €15 million is available and applications are now open.
For applications for Trademark registration within the EU, applicants may receive a refund of up to 75% of eligible expenses.
For Trademark registration outside the EU, applicants may receive a reimbursement of up to 50% of eligible expenses (filing fees).
Unlike the 2021 program, the new and revised subsidy scheme covers filing fees for additional classes of Trademarks and even designation fees for Trademark registration outside the EU.
Applications are examined on a first come, first served basis and demand is expected to be extremely high.
